Choc Protein Balls
▪️ These are a healthy and delicious high fat treat and nutrient packed clean treat will taste better than any naughty treat guaranteed 👌🏼 I usually have one with a hot cup of tea and nothing beats it! This recipe I came up with doesn’t have exact measurements and I go by texture and feel of the mixture. I’ve tried to gauge approximate measurements for anyone attempting to make them. You can use any healthy chocolate flavoured protein powder in these, I get mine from my local health food store, it has no artificial sweeteners in it. ▪️
Ingredients:
The base is made up of: equal parts almond meal and chocolate protein powder, approximately 3/4 cup.
1/2 cup cacao powder
3/4 cup semi crushed nuts of choice. I generally use macadamias and slithered almonds and I zap them in food processor for a couple of seconds only
2 tablespoons of linseeds
2 tablespoons cacao nibs
1/2 cup goji berries
2-3 tablespoons puffed chia seeds
1 1/4 cup Medjool dates, pitted and put into food processor until blended into a paste
3 tablespoons of coconut oil
Method:
Add all the ingredients into a bowl starting with the dry ingredients and adding the nuts, then wet ingredients lastly. Mix with hands (gets a bit dirty) as it gives you a great indication of texture! Add in a little more of each dry ingredient of mixture is too wet, or a few more dates and coconut oil if it’s a little dry.
Roll into balls of whatever size you prefer and then roll them in desiccated coconut. Put in fridge for a good couple of hours. I store mine in the freezer though as I like them cold and hard but it’s personal taste!
Enjoy 😁👌🏼
▪️ This recipe is my own creation. It is gluten free, as the protein powder I use has no gluten in it. It would all depend on the protein powder used as to whether or not these would be gluten free as everything else is fine!

- Banana, Blueberry and Macadamia Loaf
Banana Blueberry and Macadamia Loaf
▪️ This was the first baking recipe I created myself, I managed to get the ratios and quantities spot on and the loaf turned out with perfect texture, so moist and flavourful! 👌🏼 This recipe is refined sugar free like many things I cook, and is also gluten free for those wondering. Once again a clean treat packed full of good fats.
Ingredients:
4 very ripe mashed lady finger bananas
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon of both honey and maple syrup (a good quality one)
3 tablespoons coconut oil
1/2 heaped cup coconut flour
1 teaspoon bicarbonate
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon dutch cinnamon
1/4 cup activated crushed macadamias
Pinch salt
1/2 cup blueberries
Method:
After mashing bananas in a bowl, add in all the ingredients and mix thoroughly. Add a little more coconut flour if mixture is too wet, however be very sparing as it’s very absorbent and will make the mixture dry if you’re not careful! I probably added a tablespoon into this recipe at the end. I’ve made this a few times and I find the wetness of the mixture varies depends on the size of the bananas you use as they can vary. So keep a tiny bit of extra coconut flour handy.
Once the texture is right, fold in half a cup of blueberries. Pour mixture into a lined loaf tin and put in the oven at 180 degrees for 40-45 mins.
